When I think of Colin Firth fighting, I think of Bridget Jones' Diary; I never expected to see him weld an axe to a woman's face.
Half a thumbs up - I was quite taken aback by how different it was from what the trailers showed, but I am not entirely sure if I liked it or not.

We decided Keanu Reeves looks like a eurasian Jon Hamm; who Andrea saw alongside Jonah Hill in New York!

Fifty shades of grey

All the reviews criticise Anastacia for being spineless; but she is much less of a twit than HE is a possessive, overly-controlling, very disturbed person.

The Royal Tenenbaums

IMBD trivia: The original Mordecai was kidnapped and held for a ransom, but they couldn't wait for him to be returned, so they had to use a different bird - hence the 'more white feathers'!
Just shy of two thumbs up, and that was a good movie (and cross-stitch) escape - I felt completely removed from what I was doing before this, and I almost forgot what my evening plans were going to be.

The Theory of Everything

That croquet scene was my tearjerker scene.
One and a half thumbs up, and my personal nomination for Felicity Jones - she was phenomenal.
