I knew Anna Dello Russo was mutton dressed as lamb, but seeing her trot about showing off for the street photographers was confirming and HILARIOUS.
One thumbs up for calling out the peacocking that goes along with this phenomena, and surprise smiles for Susie Bubble's beautiful English accent!

The Bachelorette

Simultaneous movie conditions: new to all of us, light-hearted, and no Big Mommas!
One thumbs down for failed synchronisation (haha!), another thumbs down for this pathetic attempt at a 'female-Hangover' movie, and one ick face at all these little black speck bugs that have flown into my room taking advantage of the open windows.

Django Unchained

50 cent tickets, and questionably fresher popcorn?
One and a half thumbs up for the riches of this Tarantino-styled Western, and for NOT feeling as if the film dragged on (unlike the general critic opinion).

The Hangover

Sitting on the couch, sticking my finger in my mouth, and discovering that the inside of the bottom row of teeth is smoother on the right side than the left side... I wonder why?
One and three quarters thumbs up.

Inception

I don't understand - if the architect can plan the dreamscape, but the other person fills it with their projections, who is the primary dreamer? Whose dream are we in? Is it based on who falls asleep first? How can a second person alter the dreamscape of the first dreamer? Or does order not matter?
One thumbs up for a slightly better sense of it this second time round, and another for how delicious Tom Hardy is sans Bane-mask or voice (English! accented)

Beginners

Well I liked the 'this is what pretty/pets/happy/weather look liked' montages.
One thumbs down, because considering the IMDB one line blurb (elderly father has terminal cancer, and a young male lover) - it was just underwhelming and boring.

An Education

Such a pretty film (especially the Paris montage), though obviously with a creepy undercurrent.
One thumbs up.

Somewhere

Beyond boring.
Two thumbs down - one thumbs down for making the audience wait over an hour before we get a measly nanosecond of personality from the protagonist, and another thumbs down for desecrating the Foo Fighters 'Hero' with room-service pole dancers (not happy, Sofia Coppola).

The Intouchables

Heart warming enough to neutralise the boo-urns moment in missing out on high tea with the girls tomorrow/today.

One thumbs up, and now to find someone to test out the erogenous ear thing haha!!

To Rome With Love

Jesse Eisenberg reminds me of what I imagine a young Woody Allen would have been - all fast talking and full of neuroses.
One thumbs down for starting off on the wrong foot with this particular narrator, and then just becoming weird and unnecessary at parts (when it could have been better as a collection of separate vignettes, methinks).

Bridesmaids

I still don't understand how you bleach an asshole.
One thumbs up, but fail thumbs down for waiting so long to download 'The Intouchables' with subtitles... to find out it did not come with subtitles.

When Harry Met Sally

If you get over the fact that Billy Crystal is not the best looking/Mike Wazowski, it is wonderfully witty and not at all lovey-dovey.
One and a half thumbs up, and an extra half for the mini-oven timer going 'ding!' at the EXACT moment Meg Ryan finishes her fake orgasm teehee.

The Proposal

Whilst watching the cricket... well mostly the cricket.

One thumbs up for Reynolds/Bullock accidental naked smushing, one thumbs up for chant/rap, but one thumbs down for dropped high balls and ensuing consequences hehe.

Oh gosh, I am reminded how much I love this movie.
Two thumbs up, and placing it my top 10? (tentatively... 10-tatively haha!)

Les Miserables

As desolate as Anne Hathaway was in 'I Dreamed A Dream', it sadden me more to hear Eponine's song 'On My Own' like as if she took the words that resided in my heart and mind, and cried them in the rain (still...)
Two EPIC thumbs up, for still portraying the hopelessness and desperation that come along with a clash of revolution, poverty and uprising - despite it being all-singing.

Becoming Jane

My heart drops everytime I watch their encounter in the woods.
One and a half thumbs up, and smug points in proving to myself that I am indeed introverted because I was rather looking forward to house-alone time to do nothing, and watch movies, and eat at funny times (but is the end of it? #changesinthehouse #unsure #hypocritical?).
