New York! in Fall! And a dog voiced by Louis C.K. that kind of has the same colouring as Schnitzel!

Bad Moms

Everything about the PTA part is so stupid:

*How do they even have that much power to determine school days and hours, and who can be fired etc.?

*That is so sexist that they assume it is all females in the PTA

Two thumbs down - this is the WORST movie I have seen in ages. It is absolute tripe scum and possibly knocks off "Sugar and Spice" the crap cheerleading robbery movie as my worst movie ever. Even The Human Centipede had more redeeming features (and that was disgusting!)

Two Weeks Notice

I thought channel E! was just entertainment "news", but they had this movie.
Zero thumbs up, inoffensive viewing just to pass the time, because this is going to be a long painful journey home.

Juno

I am always taken by Jennifer Garner in this.
One and a half thumbs up.

The Danish Girl

Alicia Vikander is so much more beautiful in film, than she is in Golden Globe photos etc.
Half a thumbs up, it was very beautiful but I don't think I could be as strong and supportive as Gerda was.

Empire Records

I have zero care for this silly ragtag bunch of teenagers:
*Smarmy boy who just gambles $9000 away with no punishment
*Silly naive Liv Tyler who is a total hypocrite
*That ridiculous punk thief kid who is so annoying, and what a dumbass way is that to get a job
*Stones deluded people who just decide to start a band based on a name
*Bald girl who is just so cliched and attention seeking
*Even dumber boss who just lets everyone get away with never working and stripping and grinding and not monitoring the store. And also has his name way overused ("Joe" must have been said 100 times)
*Cannot believe Renee Zellweger was the least sufferable of the group
Two thumbs down - that was awful. Terribly overrated and unbelieveable, with zero likeable characters. Cannot believe I used to confuse this with High Fidelity.

Ex Machina

Remember when Josh/Brad said the title was "Machinist" and I said "No, it is Ex Machina" and I was correct? :p
One and three quarters thumbs up - that was amazing and thought provoking and all the cast were magnificent new young things.

Mean Girls

Isn't it bemusing how the most technological thing was the three way phone call?
Two flawless thumbs up - this and cup noodles made up for forgetting to get off at Redfern and found myself going to Burwood.

The Jungle Book

This is a silly question, but this bear likes honey... and Winnie the Pooh likes honey... so do bears actually love honey?
One and a half thumbs up - I really enjoyed the movie; it was surprisingly funny and exciting; and yes, bears do eat honey! (and the bees and all).

Midnight in Paris

It is just so beautiful! The scenery, the music is so romantic. 

Two thumbs up, and Rachel McAdams was very good at being unlikeable here. 

Hot Fuzz

"Not all fat white guys are the same"- Josh.
One thumbs up, but no Nick Frost was not Sam on Game of Thrones (or Hodor, Josh).

Bridesmaids

So the Hen's night has ended with tea and Bananagrams and Bridesmaids. I quite like this!
One and a half thumbs up - I honestly think the only thing stopping it from a full two thumbs up is Maya Rudolph's overly dreamy voice in it.

Sausage Party

I heard the orgy scene was quite shocking, but boy was it something!
One and a quarter thumbs up, but also worried because my wisdom teeth hurt.

Uptown Girls

Thought Captain American Chris Evans was going to be in this, but then realised he is in the other nanny movie set in New York starring Scarlett Johanssen.
Half a thumbs up - it was a good easy movie for lunchtime.

Lost in Translation

I never noticed the carpet samples bit - that was hilarious!
Half a thumbs up - it is funny at first (as the guy behind us chuckling could attest to), but I forgot how slow it becomes.

Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice

"The question is, why is he (Superman) wearing winter clothes?" - Josh.
One and a half thumbs down, and a Razzie to the particularly stupid moment when they stopped fighting and became best friends just because their mothers happened to have the same name. Yes that really happened.

My Best Friend's Wedding

Is that what 28 (Julia Roberts) looked like in the 90s? Is that was twenty (Cameron Diaz) looked like?!
One thumbs up, and not going to lie, some unfortunately familiar emotions were bubbling up.

Finding Dory

I almost got hit on the head by a bottle of Sprite! Shouldn't you kids be in school??
Three quarters thumbs up - I felt it was a fairly forced storyline, but hold-onto-your-cheeks cuteness overload with the otter cuddle party!
