I loved Neil then, and I still love him now.
One and three quarters thumbs up - they got the casting right, I could not imagine River Phoenix as Neil, or Liam Neeson as Mr. Keating (though that one is not too far fetched).

Avengers 2: The Age of Ultron

I fell asleep in the third act
Me: "So how did they kill Ultron?"
Josh: "Don't worry, they just did. They all did"
Zero thumbs up - I thought I have seen this before, but no, it was probably just Josh telling me the story to prepare for the next one.

Mulan

Okay why am I crying when she is running away in disguise?
One thumbs up - Mulan, you go girl!

The Holiday

Running in heels in the snow is just stupid, though I do like that she stopped to catch her breath.
Half a thumbs up - it's alright I guess.

Love Actually

When I was younger I would have been flattered by a video of just me; but now that is just freaky.
One and a half thumbs up - it seems like everyone is maturing into high-brow Love Actually hating people, and I will be left behind still liking it.

Green Book

I exalted a lone laugh out loud when he was writing 'As I am writing this letter, I am eating potato chips'
One and a half thumbs up - it was much better than the trailer made it out to be, and personal thumbs up to Nicole for directing us to these free tickets!

The Princess Switch

Of all the ridiculous things in this movie (not one but two made up European countries, no kissing before marriage, a royal in a mini-skirt in public) nothing beats the suspension of reality to make me believe his favourite Christmas movie is Netflix's A Christmas Prince. 

One thumbs down - it is so bad but you will keep watching till the end to confirm it will go exactly the way you think it will. 

The Disaster Artist

I am pretty sure James Franco is wearing a prosthetic nose.
One and a half thumbs up.

Dumplin'

My favourite Dolly song is probably Islands in the Stream (out of the three I know).
One thumbs up - aww that was really sweet, and this superior in every way to "Sierra Burgess..." about bigger girls, friendship and romance.

Ted

Jenny took the most adorable picture of Baby Jack and Ted... and I totally forgot she had Ted in the first place because Marky Mark's name was John Bennett!
One thumbs up, and it is Snitzel's birthday tomorrow! He will be 10!

The Departed

Final duck count was probably zero, but I cannot say that with any certainty. 

One and a half thumbs up - but boy was I stressed out for Leo the whole time. 

The Intern

About halfway through I realised everyone has been decent and there was no bad guy... yet (my money was on the assistant or the husband).

Zero thumbs - it was just very blah, though I was amused by 'buried in the singles strangers section' part.

Game Night

Frat boy (Jonah Hill's brother in Maniac) made me laugh a lot.
Half a thumbs up - I obviously laughed, but overall there was just too much going on and that tilt-shift was stylistically distracting.

Never Let Me Go

But if they are using art to see if you even have a soul, how is the soul interwoven or even 'found' in art?
Half a thumbs up - I followed this better after having skimmed the plot line on Wikipedia.

Billy Madison

This is what the 'Oh clean hair' song was inspired from.

Superbad

Josh said his dad loved the beginning scene where they keep talking on their mobiles even as he walks out of the house to the car. I had a patient phone the store, I was talking to him and he rolled by (wheelchair), stopped at the front of the store whilst we conversed still on the phone.
Two thumbs up - I love how everyone has their own small favourite parts of this movie!

Stardust

Two pieces of trivia - it was based on a novel written by Neil Gaiman who also wrote Coraline and American Gods, and Henry Cavill is the rival suitor (my god what a terrible wig!)

Half a thumbs up - soft spot because I had a small this-movie-only crush on Charlie Cox back in high school.

The Devil Wears Prada

What kind of insane bubble do you live in to behave like this and get furious over 'wrong' flowers at a function.

One and three quarters thumbs up - and I love how Emily Blunt just hangs up on Andi rather than say anything. 

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure

Josh's storeroom friend Alex looks like a cross between Bill and Michael Cera.
Three quarters thumbs up - I always thought this was going to be a stoner movie but they are just nice dopey kids.

I would use it to fast forward work, so I can still get money but I can just get to home/free time.
Half a thumbs up, and did you know that the lady who plays Adam Sandler's mum in this is Julie Kavner, the voice of Marge Simpson, Selma and Patty!
